Class description for the 2022-2023 School year

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering monthly classes at the Houston Museum of Natural

Science. Each class has a maximum of 25 students per class.

Please note the following:

1. Payment is non-refundable.

2. HMNS is not requiring face mask/shield at this time. This is their statement:

"The HMNS Summer Programs staff understand that conditions surrounding COVID-19 may change before and during the school-year. The masking policy will be determined using the CDC COVID-19 Community Levels protocols. If Harris County reaches the “High” level, masking will be mandatory for the lower level classrooms at the main museum location"


Classes are on the first Wednesday of each month from September to November. January is the second Wednesday and the first Wednesday from February to May. (No class in December).

Prices include all classes per school year per grade (not per day).



The 3rd-5th group at 11:00 am and the 6th-12th group at 1:00 pm don’t have class in November. We might add a special exhibit as a CHC field trip, (to be paid separately). That way, those children not having a class in November can do something at the museum, especially if they have siblings in the groups that have labs that day.



The dinosaurs labs and dissection are slightly more expensive than the other labs.

K-2 11:00 am - $75 per child (includes all eight classes in the year).


3rd- 5th 11: 00 am - $80 per child (includes all seven classes in the year).

3rd- 5th 1: 00 pm - $75 per child (includes all eight classes in the year).


Dissection 11:00 am - $90 per child (5th to 12th) (includes all eight classes in the year).

6th-12th 1:00 pm - $80 per child. (includes all seven classes in the year).

After receiving confirmation of availability, please send payment via PayPal to (select friends and family or add the transaction fee).

Make sure you type your child’s name, and the class grade, and hour.
