About the Event

Coordinator: Michelle Schroeder

Ages: 11-18 yrs old (younger kids will not be allowed).

For questions please use the event discussion tab.

This is a great opportunity for kids to learn what veterian techs do. This is a chance to see the facility and ask questions about the program. So more than likely there won’t be any animals on campus because of spring break. They may still have cattle but we won’t be interacting with any of the animals.

The tour will be strictly about what the facility has to offer in the form of: the surgical suite where they do spays and neuters, laboratory where you run bloodwork before patients go into surgery, radiology, large animal holding where the cattle and donkeys are kept and where husbandry takes place, and also if they have it where lab animal is kept for husbandry purposes. This is to see the facility and what the program offers as an idea for those wanting a technical degree.

Maximum amount for the tour is 20 students. Parking for the event will be the large campus parking lot, not the parking lot adjacent to the Vet Tech building.
