Creative writing class for 3rd-5th grade (5 of 8)

Students who register, need to commit to attend all eight classes. Please RSVP for all eight classes to secure your child's spot.

Class description: Creative writing class directed at 3-5th grades, condensed from The Good and The Beautiful Creative Writing Notebook 1.

Materials: Looseleaf paper, pencil, folder or binder.

Lesson 5: Art-inspired poetry.

-Study 3 images, and brainstorm as a class words or phrases that come to mind

-Write first lines or couplets as a class about the paintings in poetic form

Homework: Write a poem about one of the paintings in the rhyme scheme of your choice. We will begin this in class as time allows.
