Come and learn about the different types of courts in the U.S system. We will go into civil vs criminal law with exciting cases that imitate fairy tales, literature, and history. Your child will have the opportunity to play the roles of jury members, attorneys, witnesses, defendants and etc. They will set up a mock trail and have to determine guilt or innocence.
Plesae read the attendance expectation:
The first class thre will be an explanation of the whole system as a basis for the cases that will be studied in the semester. If the kids can not committ to attend to each one of the classes, casual rsvp is okay. If they don’t show up for the first class the parents will need to go over or the kids need to read about the process of the court system so there not lost all semester.
If they show up after missing the first class, they will be assigned to be in the court crowd and wil be given homework for the next week. Just so they familiarize themselves with the system if they don’t already know.
