Discovered in the attic in which she spent the last years of her life,
Anne Frank’s remarkable diary has become a world classic. In
1942, with the Nazis occupying Holland, a 13 year old Jewish girl
and her family fled their home in Amsterdam and went into hiding.
For the next two years, until their whereabouts were betrayed to
the Gestapo, the Franks and another family lived cloistered in the
“Secret Annexe” of an old office building. Cut off from the outside
world, they faced hunger, boredom, the constant cruelties of living
in confined quarters, and the ever-present threat of discovery and
death.
Since the forecast for Monday in the Zube Park area shows a 93% probability of rain, we have moved the location for Book club to the Lone Star College Library located at 9191 Barker Cypress Rd, Cypress, TX 77433.
The rooms assigned to us at this moment are:
K-2nd: 118
3rd-6th: 111
7th-9th: 108
Please enter through the library door; someone else will be by the entrance to guide you to the study room. Please try to arrive by 2:45 so your kids can be in the room on time to start. Thanks.
