► Prepare Your Students

Remind all group members that they are ambassadors for your organization (CHC). Respectfully share activities between older/larger students and younger/smaller students. Littering, picking plant life, throwing objects, climbing fences, and all other destructive activities are not permitted.

Please show respect for our farm (treat buildings and objects gently; dispose of

trash in the garbage, don't climb fences) so that the things that you enjoy today

can be enjoyed by other schools and visitors many years into the future.

► Attractions

Blessington Farms has many fun attractions to enjoy. Please note however,

weather conditions may dictate that some attractions cannot be accessible at the

time of your field trip. Safety is our first concern. We will keep as many attractions

open as possible on the day of your visit.

► Attire

Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities and weather conditions. Please

wear closed toed shoes conducive to walking (no sandals or flip flops).

► Food

Picnic tables are available. Please pack a lunch.

► Drinking Water

Please be sure to bring plenty of drinking water as our water supply is not

potable. However, we do have bottled water for sale.

► Facilities

We have air-conditioned restrooms for men and women as well as a “family”

restroom that is handicap accessible. There is also a hand washing station

located near the portable restrooms.

► Safety

The activities on the farm are all outdoors. If a student has an allergy (bees, hay,

etc.), the teacher/chaperone/parent must bring appropriate medication. We will not

administer or distribute any type of medication. We have on site a minor

emergency first aid kit.

► Hold Harmless

Teachers, chaperones, and students acknowledge that undertaking any activity

involves risk and all attendees willingly participate in the attractions and activities

at their own risk, and hold harmless Blessington Farms, any individual or

employee from any and all liability for any injuries or damages that may occur.

Lunch is NOT provided by the farm.  Everyone should bring a sack lunch and plenty of water for your family.
